BC101 - Software QA Bootcamp is an intensive training program designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills required to excel in the field of software quality assurance (QA). The course will cover fundamental concepts, best practices, and hands-on experience in software testing methodologies, tools, and techniques. Participants will learn from industry experts currently working at Microsoft and Telus, gaining valuable insights and practical knowledge from their real-world experience.

Introduction to Software Quality Assurance (4 hours):

Overview of software QA roles and responsibilities

Importance of QA in the software development lifecycle (SDLC)


Software Testing Fundamentals (16 hours):

Principles of software testing

Types of testing (functional, non-functional, regression, etc.)

Test planning and documentation


Manual Testing Techniques (24 hours):

Test case design and execution

Defect tracking and management

Test reporting and metrics


Automation Testing (24 hours):

Introduction to automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, JUnit)

Scripting and executing automated test cases

Test automation best practices


Performance Testing (16 hours):

Introduction to performance testing
