Course Overview:
Business Analysis (EP101) is a foundational course designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the role and responsibilities of a business analyst. The course covers key concepts, techniques, and tools used in business analysis, preparing students for a career in this dynamic field. Students will learn how to identify business needs, recommend solutions, and facilitate change within organizations.

Introduction to Business Analysis (10 hours):
Overview of business analysis
Role and responsibilities of a business analyst
Importance of business analysis in organizations
Business Analysis Planning and Monitoring (12 hours):
Developing a business analysis plan
Identifying stakeholders and their requirements
Creating a requirements management plan
Elicitation and Collaboration (16 hours):
Techniques for gathering and documenting requirements
Conducting interviews and workshops
Managing stakeholder engagement
Requirements Analysis and Design Definition (20 hours):
Analyzing and prioritizing requirements
Developing a requirements traceability matrix
Creating a business requirements document (BRD) and functional requirements document (FRD)
Solution Evaluation (8 hours):
Evaluating proposed solutions
Assessing solution performance
Obtaining stakeholder feedback
Business Analysis Tools and Techniques (16 hours):
Introduction to commonly used tools (e.g., SWOT analysis, PESTLE analysis)
Hands-on practice with tools for requirements gathering and analysis
Professional Development Units (PDUs) Preparation (38 hours):
Review of key concepts covered in the course
Practice exams and quizzes to prepare for the IIBA certification exam
Tips and strategies for exam success
PDUs and Certification Exam:
At the end of the course, participants will receive 38 PDUs, which are recognized by the International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) and can be used towards meeting the eligibility requirements for the IIBA certification exam. This course prepares participants for the exam by providing a comprehensive review of key concepts and offering valuable exam preparation resources.
